Nothing makes the drama-watching experience more enjoyable than having great actors and actresses at the helm. A memorable acting performance can even temporarily distract you from the real world and transport you into the story. Thanks to the dedication and hardwork of both veteran actors and popular newcomers, the dramas of 2016 will be etched in our memories for years to come.
A round of applause (and love letters) for our favorites this year on our 2016 Countdown #2: Best Actor & Actress!
In the drama business, there’s a very clear hierarchy within the cast. You’ve got your leads, seconds leads, supporting actors, and well known extras. Even though some talented actors and actresses may not be getting the top billing yet, there’s definitely star potential there. An unexpectedly good acting performance from a supporting character can be the lone bright spot in an otherwise terrible drama. Or they could even liven up an already great one!

When two actors really hit it off on screen, you just know this drama will go far. It doesn’t even matter if the rest of the plot sucks as long as they’ve got this special thing called chemistry. Perhaps nothing is more elusive than this in a drama. You’ve either got it or you don’t; there’s no fakin’ it. But if you do, watch out because things are about to get lit.
